![]() Oh, due to plugging Time Machine back in for safety reasons, I may have hit an issue this time with the KU12 drive being plugged into the OWC Thunderbolt 3 Dock. It would have been nice to figure out the issue, but I seem to recall I also had problems with the USB driver supplied with KU10. Some of them have probable already been updated since September anyway, and hopefully this will result in cleaner installs. I've given up on getting the shipped USB drive to work, so am running the downloads overnight using "Install All" in Native Access. from other vendors), as starting with a clean slate means I have to manually inform it of other libraries as it can't figure that out on its own. I also will now have to individually "Repair" all previous installations via Native Access, for stuff not included in KU12 (i.e. The USB drive based update still stalls with no user feedback, doing nothing. Hopefully Native Access will do SOMETHING then. ![]() I have no choice but to be patient and not do other stuff that might cause a reboot, while the 700 MB of BFD libraries is copying to an archive drive. Just in case Native Access didn't like the USB drive being attached to a hub though, I unplugged Time Machine so I could plug the K12 drive directly into the back of the 2017 iMac. I do hope the latest Waldorf installations last night didn't do some sort of unseen damage, given how badly Time Machine got messed up until I quarantined their installation directories.Īlmost positive I have done several successful large library installations with Native Access and Sonokinetic since the Mojave upgrade a few days ago. Possibly this is related to my issue today of the Sonokinetic download manager freezing up and doing nothing, no matter how many times I reboot or restart - even though it worked the other day. It looks fairly idle in Activity Monitor. Not sure if Native Access is busy doing anything or not, such as making sure there's enough space or tallying the full size of the installation. But it'll take a while for that disc copy to finish. I'm archiving BFD as it takes up almost 1 TB, and as I plan to sell it once I can find the time. Possibly the provided USB drive isn't compatible with Mojave? Maybe I should have waited before upgrading, but I thought things would go smoother this way, and also didn't know when it would arrive. I had hoped this would be an easy process. I can only install certain things piecemeal initially, until my SSD arrives and I get Synchron Player stuff off of my HD. Nothing came with the box other than a pointer to look on-line, which I did. The instructions at NI's website are for regular editions, so don't get into what to do with hard media vs. If I "Locate" one of the libraries, for instance, it rejects my attempt to point it to the provided USB drive. ![]() re-downloading everything, which is wasteful, requires twice as much disc space initially, and slow besides? How to get Native Access to use the drive vs. But Disk Utility shows that over 600 GB is being used, meaning everything is on the provided USB drive. The only files that show up are the Native Access installer app. My K12 Ultimate Collector's Edition arrived today. ![]() Titles have to be so short, so I hope that was enough to catch attention.
